Let's cut to the chase. Spoiler alert, I did not complete a single webcomic goal this month. With that out of the way, let's just have a general update this time, and talk about what I did do this month.
I wish to come bearing good news, unfortunately, it seems to be a trend that my productivity no longer adhere to my plans and expectations.
This month was a nice break for both my art and academic needs. During this time, I've re-evaluated my goals, and I think it would in my own best interests to take my time and not push to rush things, such that everything falls into place smoothly.
Somehow, this month felt really slow productivity-wise, but regardless, I still managed to accomplish my main art goals for the month.
It was a rough start, but I'm finally settling into 2021, and what will hopefully be the general pace for the next year. Though I've yet to exceed my own expectations, I'm proud of how I've been holding up and meeting most of my goals amidst this workload.
The 2021 transition has been rough for various reasons. Regardless, despite the circumstances, I was able to accomplish more than expected.
Happy 2021! As I am no longer active on the place where this tradition started, I will continue the annual custom here! It's time for a [2020 New Year's Revolution] review! (Yes, I know it's resolution, not revolution, just roll with it).
Previous years: [2015] | [2016] | [2017] | [2018] | [2019] With two weeks left to spare for this month, I managed to complete my December goals, to my own surprise.
As I enter the transition stages of my life where I begin to start a new chapter, it feels even more important for me to have this balance between my two professions. I have loved comic making for as long as I can remember, and for years, I have always had the intention of releasing my own comic. It feels bittersweet that these goals have consistently been pushed back in favour of more academic pursuits. The coming year, I wish to prove myself wrong, and be able to continue to make consistent progress on my comic such that it reaches a stage where I can release it with ease.
